If you are new to the Bible or not familiar with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, you might not know that Yahweh loves to camp! So much so that He sets aside an 8 day period every fall to camp out with His people. He instructs us to gather around a fire to eat and drink to our heart’s content as a rehearsal dinner of sorts. Feast of Tabernacles (Lev. 23) or Sukkot, in Hebrew, is understood as the season in which Jesus (Yeshua) was born and the present-day representation of eternity with Him. If you aren’t having a party during the week of Sukkot, then you might not be doing the Bible well and are likely missing out on some amazing times with the Creator!
And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
And you may spend the money on whatever your heart desires: on oxen, sheep, wine, other strong drink, or whatever your heart desires; and there you shall eat in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice, you and your household. Deut. 14:26
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” John 7:37–38.
