We have found that many people are suffering from their association with ungodly belief systems, organizations and practices. The Bible clearly defines the consequences of being involved with things that He clearly forbids. Being “saved” or “a new creature in Christ” does NOT take away the natural consequences of generational or individual disobedience! Christians today have just as much, and sometimes MORE, depression, anxiety, bondage, financial enslavement, illness, relationship problems, etc. than those who don’t claim to be Christians.
What kind of things do I need to renounce?
- personal or family involvement in
- Freemasonry (Eastern Star, DeMolay, Knights of Columbus, etc)
- Druidism
- Witchcraft
- Catholocism
- Mormonism
- Rites and Rituals of the armed forces (i.e. Baptism of Neptune), fraternities and sororities
This is not an exhaustive list and many people don’t realize that there is an element in these things that influences them. For example, not many people claim to be practicing druids, however, the queen of England was initiated by the highest Druid priest in England because it is THE foundation of many European beliefs and practices. For example, if you hang mistletoe around the winter solstice (AKA Christmas time), you do so because that’s what the Druids do. So even though you might not identify with the spiritual practices of Druidism, if you are from Northern Europe you have that in your family and probably do things because of it that you aren’t aware of. Freemasonry/Masonic Lodge involvement is another association that MOST people have in their families and are unaware of it.
Isn’t it enough to just stop doing those things?
Not always. Of course there is a benefit any time we stop doing, believing or participating in something we shouldn’t. However, scripture is clear
“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)
There is something important about the formal renunciation process that releases us from legal rights and open doors the enemy has over us and our bloodlines.
